We provide a warm, indoor environment that is open 24 hours a day, offering more than just a bed. We offer a safe place to connect with the support needed to move forward.

The first stone.

In masonry, a cornerstone is the first stone set in a foundation. It is the essential anchor that allows everything else to be built. We believe that every person deserves this kind of solid ground. Cornerstone Shelter Services acts as this anchor in the Central Okanagan. Operating with a “meet people where they are” mindset, we provide a warm, inclusive environment where individuals can access life skills, advocacy, and health support to begin their journey toward permanent housing.

Cornerstone Shelter Services

24-hour access with no set wake-up times.

Couples and individuals with pets welcomed.

Hot lunch and dinner, showers, laundry facilities, and clothing/shoe vouchers.

On-site harm reduction supplies, overdose prevention services, and medical/detox referrals.

Support from staff for life skills, housing searches, and individual advocacy.

Minimal storage is available for personal belongings.

Location: 425 Leon Avenue, Kelowna.

Eligibility

Cornerstone Shelter Services is open to:

Adults (19+) currently experiencing homelessness.

Minors are referred to youth shelters.
