Outreach + Community Inclusion in the Okanagan.
Getting everyone involved in our community.
The Outreach + Community Inclusion program provides individualized support to help adults live as independently as possible and participate in their community. Services are tailored to each person’s goals and can include help with housing, employment, life skills, relationships, and recreation.
Support that starts with the person.

The John Howard Society of Okanagan & Kootenay provides Outreach + Community Inclusion services across the Okanagan for adults funded by Community Living BC. The program centres the goals of the individual. The role of an outreach worker is to help make those goals achievable. An outreach worker who knows someone over time understands their strengths, their preferences, and what approaches work. They also know the resources available in the community and how to access them. Support is built around the individual.
