Community Housing in the Okanagan.
A Home of our own.
The Community Housing program provides shared housing with on-site staff support for adults with developmental disabilities. Up to three residents live together in a home environment, with assistance tailored to individual goals and needs.
Shared housing with support.

Community Housing is a residential option where a small number of adults live together with staff support. The setting is a home, not a facility. Residents have their own space within a shared household and access to staff who can assist with daily living, skill development, and working toward personal goals.
The model balances structure with flexibility. Residents receive support tailored to what they need, and that support can adjust over time. Staff work with each person to develop plans based on their own goals, whether that involves building specific skills, participating in community activities, or increasing independence in daily routines.
The John Howard Society of Okanagan & Kootenay operates Community Housing in the Okanagan for adults funded by Community Living BC.
